BEACH HOUSE

Cavendish Homes transformed a cute Tybee Island Georgia beach house that was completely flooded by hurricane Irma.  Not only did Cavendish Homes transform the inside but they also painted the outside of the beach house, custom made and painted the turquoise shutters, custom built the white picket fence with a beautiful arbor that is covered with jasmine.

This adorable beach house just blocks away from Sandra Bullocks beach front house, nestled beneath giant live oak trees, is the perfect spot to relax and escape to a more laid back lifestyle! With a custom built dock located on the tidal creek, it makes for the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset.

Enter through the screened in front porch, to an open living area. Enjoy the charm from the moment you walk in.  The beach house has undergone a whole new life, with all new decor from floor to ceiling. The kitchen becomes the focal point of the living area, with a large center island  that doubles as a gathering space and dining area. The brand new kitchen features all stainless steel appliances and beautiful granite countertops. There is a built-in wine/beverage fridge and a coffee bar complete with a granite counter top. The laundry room located just off the kitchen area is finished with granite counter tops over the washer/dryer and can be hidden by closing the barn door.  Just past the living area is a second screened porch that is an extension of the living space and offers conformable seating overlooking the natural landscape in the backyard just beyond with a beautiful view of the marshland and tide creek. There’s even the special touch of automatic uplighting into the trees in the front and backyard, which adds nice ambiance at night while sitting on both porches.

The surf-style décor throughout this home brings the sense of whimsy and laid back costal attitude. The décor includes unique architectural details that have been added, including the custom wood-panel walls in the bedrooms that were made with reclaimed wood from the previous dock that was destroyed during hurricane Matthew, dock cleats used as handles in the kitchen and bedrooms, custom built furniture from coffee tables, side tables, wakeboard benches to the kitchen island light fixtures. Each bedroom has custom built-in closets with hanging and drawer space.

The charm of the beach house extends to the backyard where you can entertain your guests at the outdoor custom built tiki bar.
